DOREEN THOMAS
Miss Thomas studied under Elise Segas, after opening her own Dance & Drama Academy in 1957, her school and students have gone on to perform in various venues throughout Queensland. Miss Thomas was part of the founding board of EDTA and is also the choreographer for the EDTA European and Highland Syllabus.
Previously winning the Gold Medal of Australia for Drama and having the only Australia Dance School to be represented in the Ethnic presentation at the Commenwealth Games. Currently, Miss Thomas is co-owner in a Theatre Restaurant, encouraging young talent through plays and musical theatre.
STAN HENDERSON
Mr Henderson began Ballet training with Misha Burlakov in Sydney, further studying with Valentin Zegovsky and Leon Kellaway. He graduated to Principal Dancer with the first Australian Ballet Company. He travelled overseas in 1949 to dance in Buenos Aires (Colon Opera House) then to Paris performing with Les Ballets Montmartre. He joined the FJB Theatres as resident Choreographer and Principal Dancer.
Stan completed Drama training with the Guildhall in London. He taught at the Hampshire School of Speech and Drama and Pinelands College. Returning to Australia in 1956 he opened a Theatre School and has directed a vast number of Play's and Musicals and worked with Opera students at the Canberra School of Music. Mr Henderson constructed the Drama Syllabus for E.D. T.A. (Henderson Technique)
LYNNE CHERIE NASH-DALY
Lynne commenced her training with Daphne MacDonald, she qualified in Classical Ballet through four examination boards. At the age of 15 she studied at Ballet Victoria, during these years she was employed with the Kolobok Character Dance Company under the direction of Madame Berezowka. Lynne was then employed as the Directors Assistant with the Tasmanian Ballet Company under the direction of Kenneth Gillespie.
She then studied overseas in London, Japan, Scandinavia and Europe. On her return home she established her own Dance Company "Dance Dimensions" also gaining qualifications as Artistic Director and Examiner for EDTA. Lynne studied intensively with Master Teacher Al Gilbert. Whilst in Los Angeles she took examinations making her a Teacher Member of the Dance Masters of America and Dance Educators of America.
